and a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from the
University of Texas at Austin.
Leah has worked for many years with the City of
Houston to help redevelop blighted areas in the
City. Currently working with the Land Assemblage
Redevelopment Authority and the City of Houston, she
directs Linebarger Goggan’s program to implement the
mayor’s “Houston Hope” project. This public/private
partnership was recognized by the U.S. Conference of
Mayors in January 2007 for its efforts to revitalize
older neighborhoods and derelict properties in
Houston.
Leah is an active volunteer with HaZamir, the
International Jewish High School Choir, volunteers
with Texas Children's Hospital and is a board member
of Houston Hillel. Leah and her husband Bruce
Kessler have two children, Yonatan and Avital.
